Attendance Awareness Month

The start of the school year is a natural time for parents, schools and community leaders to think about good attendance.  The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading is celebrating Attendance Awareness Month during the month of September 2014 for a second consecutive year! Attendance Awareness Month is a nationwide event recognizing the connection between school attendance and academic achievement. The goal is to engage a community in partnership with the school not only to promote the value of good attendance but also to take concrete steps toward reducing chronic absence.
