Summer Reading Program

Teen Summer Reading Program

“Universe of Stories! is here.  The Summer Reading Program promises to offer fun programs for all teens.  Registration begins on Monday, June 10.  Earn your invitation to our Teen Pizza Party by completing the program.  You can sign up for the Summer Reading Program at the Children’s Help Desk or online at www.dubuque.lib.ia.us beginning June 10.”

Beginning Chapters Book Club

“Do you like Magic Tree House, Junie B. Jones, and Nate the Great books?  If so, this book club is for you.  This club is for those who have finished 1st grade through 3rd grade.  We will talk about the book and then participate in an enjoyable activity or craft.”

Ages:  1st grade – 3rd grade

Teen vs Cops:  Donut Diorama Challenge

“Who will take first place in the Donut Diorama Challenge?  Teens and cops will face-off in this unique competition where dioramas will come to life using … donuts!”

Touch a Truck

“Parents as Teachers and the Carnegie-Stout Public Library invite you to climb aboard a fire truck or other cool vehicle!  This is a unique opportunity for children to climb, explore, and discover their favorite thing on wheels.”

2019 Summer Youth Programs

This brochure has all of the summer activities happening in Asbury.  Your child can participate in things like volleyball, basketball, golf, or tennis.  There is a VR Experience to engage one’s creativity.  For more family-oriented programs, there are movie nights in the park, a swim night, and National Night Out.

Activities range from sports to focus on working as a team, learning about insects, learning about meteorology, and much more.
